I received an email of a friend of mine that says he saw a news report that I was on.  Before I clicked the link, I was thinking if I was in some kind of a trouble.  So I replied to his email and asked him what is that all about?  He said, open the link first and you’ll find out.  So I did!  And what the f#$%!

It’s a news about a certain Louie Miranda running for a US President.  My name was all over….. in a bus, taxi, newspaper, billboard and even tattooed at the back of an woman.

I guess few of my readers (I said few because literally they are not many, lol) will wonder why only now I blogged Pacquiao’s victory.  When most of the blogger even blogged the Round by Round scenario and even blogged the videos that were uploaded to some popular video uploading site such as Youtube, Veoh, etc….  Can’t blame them, it’s not every day that you get to see Pacquiao’s fight and it’s not every day that bloggers get a huge traffic just by blogging the fight of Manny Pacquiao, for most of the bloggers, more traffic - more online earning.

Pacquaio’s fight is considered a big event in the Philippines, it’s even considered as No crime - No Traffic Day especially in Metro Manila.  The reason is most of the Filipinos are at their home watching the fight.  Don’t you wish that everyday is a Pacquiao fight?

Pacquio is considered by many as the new Philippines Hero.  I like him as a sportsman, I like the way he fights.  You can see the dedication, the power, the speed and the urge to win for his fellow countrymen, but what about as a person?  I don’t know!  I don’t him personally.  All I know is that he made some bad decisions in life by running as a Congressman, and by acting in a movie.  What was he thingking?

I wish that after this fight he won’t consider running as a President of the Philippines.  Manny, don’t be @#!@#!

“In response to Mr. Biazon’s question why American government is sending the Aircraft Carrier USS Ronald Reagan, hmm…. well he should know better, he was a former military correct?

Here’s my answer to his stupid comments ——- Our aircraft carriers by average have multiple hospitals on board that can treat several hundred people at any given time; they are nuclear powered and can supply emergency electrical power to shore facilities; they have DFAC or dining facilities and cafeterias with the capacity to feed a couple thousand people three times a day, they can produce thousands of gallon of fresh water from sea water each day, and obviously they are designed to carry a dozen or so helicopters for use in rescue mission and are able to transport victims and injured to and from their flight deck or other hospital on shore.

Reminder to Mr. Biazon, action speaks louder than words……why don’t you ask China to help you out, Sir? I can not fathom why some people can not appreciate help from others?

Parting question for Mr. Biazon, what have you done to help your country lately and the disaster that just had occurred? “

It is very convinient for me to leave the country from DMIA instead of going to NAIA (Ninoy Aquino International Airport) in Manila.  Less travel hours, less traffic and less expenses.  I hope that DMIA will cater more destinations so a lot of people will benefit from it.

Before I booked my flight to Kuala Lumpur, I went to a travel agency and asked how much is a round trip ticket to Kuala Lumpur.  They quoted me PHP 26,000.00 ($590.00, $1.00 = PHP 44.00 convertion rate) via Malaysian Airlines and that is a Manila-Kuala Lumpur-Manila.  The agent advised me to take Air Asia instead because it’s much cheaper rate than Malaysian Airlines and I will leave from Clark.  She told me it’s about PHP10,000.00 and if I agree she will book me online.  I thought of why not book it myself since I have a Credit Card.  So I said that I will be back with the booking ‘coz I’m in a rush.  What I did when I reached home, I booked it myself and printed the itinerary.

During the booking process, you have options to have a meal or not.  I chosed not to have a meal during the flight in thinking that the flight will only last for an hour, I was wrong.  I mentioned earlier that it’s almost 3 hours flight.  

While I was checking-in my baggage , that was the time that I knew about the baggage weight limit.  The baggage weight allowed is 15 kilos.  Mine was almost 22 kilos because of the Filipino food (can goods and delicacies) that I brought for my buddies at work (you know who you are guys).  A kilo is about PHP 200.00 so I paid PH 1,320.00 extra. 

Then I have to pay Travel Tax of PHP 550.00 and another tax for PHP 1,600.00 (I can’t recall what is it) before I can go to the Immigration department.  This time I passed them, unlike the incident I had last February on my way to Singapore.  (Click here to read that story). 

While waiting I had a chance to surf the internet with my iPhone with their free WiFi access.  Wow, DMIA have a free Wifi unlike other international airports you have to pay the connection. 

To round it up, I recommend Air Asia to everyone, they have courteous ground and flight staff and the plane was not bad at all.  In fact I like the leather seats.  The only thing is that if you are late to board the plane, you can’t choose the seat you like.  They boarding pass didn’t have an assigned seat, probably it was only an Asian flight.

My next story will be my trip to Malaysia.

For you newbies of Mac OS like me, here’s how to capture a screen image in Safari Web Browser:

1. Press command + shift + 4.

2. Select the area of the screen you want.

3. The files go to desktop, and you can use the Preview application to convert the captured image to PDF & PNG.

If you’d like to capture the whole screen, use command + shift + 3.

Another tip to capture single windows on your screen, press command + shift + 4 + space bar.

I’m currently in Philippines right for my quarterly vacation of 2 weeks and I haven’t been anywhere far away from home.  Because of the humidity here, I am so lazy to go out. 

Before I took the trip for Philippines, I’ve planned to go to Boracay for the first time with my bro but since the weather is so unpredictable, I’ve postponed it and who knows when that day will be.

This evening I was in SM Mall in Clark and I saw the poster of Air Supply about their concert in Philippines from June 12 to 15, 2008.  I know that it’s impossible for me to watch the concert dated on the 13th onwards since I am leaving on the 13th for Malaysia.  So I thought of thinking to watch it on the 12th but the problem is it’s in Subic, Zambales and it’s at 8PM. 

I just thought probably it’s not the right time to watch my favorite duo in concert.

I just checked the Google Trend history and they are absolutely right.  As you see on the below trends image, the searches of the keyword Pinay Scandal this year is the same as it was back in 2006.  No wonder why the blog sites who blogged this article are getting good traffic.

I was in Dubai last February 6, 2008 and it was my 2nd time this year.   But the first time that I was there was to spend a night and catch my flight to Manila.  But this time I made sure that I will see and photograph the only 7 Star Hotel in the world – and it’s the Burj Al-Arab Hotel.
